The Meaning of "Mofu"

The Japanese language - like Mandarin - uses specific characters to denote meaning, allowing people to convey an entire world of emotion and story simply by choosing one character over the other. We wanted to honor the poetic beauty of the Japanese language by selecting the name Mofu (文風).

The first character Mo (文, also pronounced as Bun) has many meanings, but its primary meaning relates to literature, writing, and analysis.

The second character Fu (風, also pronounced as Kaze) relates to wind and style. We combined these two characters to represent our desire for people to write as freely as the wind itself.
